Mod Engine 2 is an open-source mod loader built by the Souls modding community specifically for FromSoftware games like Elden Ring and Dark Souls — it loads file-replacement mods into those titles and does nothing else. If you're trying to install an Elden Ring overhaul from Nexus, you want Mod Engine 2. If you want plug-and-play mods and trainer options across your whole single-player library, you're in the right place.

Who is Mod Engine for?

Players who mod the games they play alone. Mod Engine supports offline, single-player games only — no online titles, no multiplayer, no competitive games.
